Grammar 24: Los adverbios. Parte I
Un adverbio modifica al verbo, a un adjetivo o a otro adverbio.
Adverbios de modo
Expresan cómo se hace una acción: actively | aloud | badly | bravely | carefully | easily | fast | glady | hard | intentionally | quickly | quietly | suddenly | well | willingly | wisely
Adverbios de tiempo
Expresan cuándo se hace una acción: afterwards | again | ago | alredy | at once | before | early | ever | late | lately | long | nowadays | soon | still | whenever | yet
Tiempo indefinido: last year | last month | last week | now | today | tomorrow | tonight | yesterday
Adverbios de frecuencia
Expresan con qué frecuencia se hace una acción: always | frecuently | generally | hardly ever | never | often | once | rarely | seldom | sometimes
Adverbios de lugar
Expresan dónde se hace una acción: abroad | ahead | anywhere | away | back | down | downstairs | everywhere | far | here | in | inside | nowhere | outside | somewhere | there | upstairs | up
Adverbios de grado
Expresan hasta qué grado se hace una acción: almost | completely | deeply | enormously | entirely | enough | extremely | fairly | greatly | nearly | only | practically | quite | rather | scarcely | slightly | too | very
Adverbios interrogativos
Además de expresar la idea de tiempo o lugar, se usan en preguntas: how? | when? | where? | why?
Adverbios de afirmación
certainly | entirely | evidently | indeed | naturally | obviously | of course | surely | very well | yes
Adverbios de negación
Adverbios de cantidad y número
little | less | much | once | twice | three times | very little | very much
Formación de adverbios
Los adverbios de modo y algunos de grado se forman normalmente: adjetivo + 'ly'
